Due to recent events, my blog now resides HERE
On the day I was born
I was dropped on my head
But I’m not dead
Fell from a tree
At the age of three
Landed on my head
But I’m not dead
I was run over by a hog
I got rammed by a goat
I was pummeled by a horse pulling a boat
All before I was five
I’m still alive
When I was ten I nearly drowned
Fell from a roof and hit the ground
Got hit by a truck crossing the road
Ate a poison toad
But have no fear
I’m still here
Wrecked my first car at fifteen
Tasted my spleen
Also wrecked a boat
Had a bulldog bite my throat
Craziest thing you’ve ever seen
But I made it to sixteen
One year later my girlfriend went nuts
Ran a twelve inch knife into my guts
Left me to die in a forest green
I was lucky once again
Although I bled a lot
Bleed to death I did not
Fell down a cliff from a mountain top
Mistaken identity
Shot by a cop
Caught Eastern Equine Encephalitis
Drank nasty water and caught hepatitis
Caught pneumonia on several occasions
And a couple of nasty parasite invasions
All in all I’ve pulled thru well
In my coffin not a single nail
Yep
Millions of people die every year
But I’m still here
Rainy day cheeks
Pressed against glass
Blurred by fingerprints
And breath
Fishbowl views
Of a world too fast
To hold little hands
Somewhere the warm hearth…
Rainy day cheeks
Pressed against glass
Blurred by fingerprints
And breath
Fishbowl views
Of a world too fast
To hold little hands
Somewhere the warm hearth…
Awash in the day
I rub my eyes against the sting
The salty spray
Wagging tongues
And tears
I hold my breath when I can
When I have to
As to not have my lungs
Fill with liquid
Disdain
Something brushes my leg
Wakes me up
I am not alone in the murky wake
I am not sure
If this comforts me or not
I look at those above me
Only in relation to the world
I do not envy them
Nor do I despise
I am simply in awe
